If Humboldt were riding high off their 68-42 takedown of Gleason last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Humboldt were completely outmatched, falling 12-54 to South Fulton. The state rankings had actually given Humboldt a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Humboldt's record to 1-7. The win bumped South Fulton's record up to 2-6.
Humboldt will look to defend their home turf next week against Jackson South Side at 7:00 PM. Jackson South Side are cruising in on a eight-game winning streak. As for South Fulton, they will face off against West Carroll. South Fulton will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
