Bayou Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Greenville Christian Saints to the tune of 44-6. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-0.
Aiden Borganelli had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also caught one score.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Bayou Academy, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Borganelli, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Coming up, Bayou Academy will square off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville Christian, they will challenge Kirk Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
