Jefferson has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Sheridan Rams at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Sheridan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.
Even though Bennett scored an imposing 71 points on Monday, Jefferson still came out on top. Jefferson took their game against Bennett 79-71.
Meanwhile, sadly, Sheridan is still looking for their first win of the season after 17 contests. They took a serious blow against DSST: Montview on Thursday, falling 92-26. While losing is never fun, Sheridan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while DSST: Montview is ranked 58th).
Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Sheridan, their defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
Everything came up roses for Jefferson against Sheridan in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 93-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
