There's no place like home for the Franklin Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Waynesville with a 64-59 win on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kai Cook was a one-man wrecking crew for Franklin as he scored 32 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least 25% of Franklin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Black, who scored 16 points.
The victory got Franklin back to even at 1-1. As for Waynesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Franklin will head out on the road to face off against Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Waynesville, they will be playing at home against Madison at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
