In what's become a running theme this season, the Plainview Indians gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Central, posting a 66-14 win on the road. Winning may never get old, but Plainview sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plainview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marya Southerland, who scored 16 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacelyn Hammon, who scored ten points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Plainview racked up 16 assists.
Plainview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will take on East Central on Friday. East Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Plainview is ranked 65th). As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Kelley at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
