Webster County is a perfect 5-0 against Calhoun since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Webster County is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Calhoun, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 10th. They took their matchup last Friday with ease, bagging a 65-14 victory over Valley. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Calhoun's win came from a few key players Webster County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brennen Carpenter, who rushed for 103 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also threw for 157 yards and three TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Calhoun's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Schoolcraft, who gained 78 total yards and four touchdowns.

The win snapped Calhoun's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record. As for Webster County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Webster County against Calhoun when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 44-13 victory. In that contest, the Highlanders amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
