On Saturday, Holy Names Academy came up short against Seattle Prep and fell 47-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Holy Names Academy in their matchups with Seattle Prep: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Eastside Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 79-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roosevelt. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (57), Eastside Catholic still had to take the loss.
Holy Names Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Eastside Catholic, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Things could have been worse for Holy Names Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-46 loss to Eastside Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2021.
