After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Carroll, Winters Mill was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Westminster Owls as they made off with a 16-5 win. The Falcons not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd (when they won 24-1).
Madi Shropshire and Allie Keller did most of the damage at the plate: Shropshire went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs, while Keller went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Riley Haskins also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Winters Mill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster only posted an OBP of .429.
Winters Mill's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Westminster, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
