The Autauga Academy Generals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Edgewood Academy with a sharp 61-39 victory. That 22 points margin sets a new team best for Autauga Academy this season.
Jack Adams and Eric Sumrall certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Adams scored 15 points along with five rebounds, while Sumrall scored eight points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Adams scored 15 or more points. Reed Owen was another key contributor, scoring four points.
The victory got Autauga Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Edgewood Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
Autauga Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Crenshaw Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Crenshaw Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Edgewood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
