On Friday, Bellefonte put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Bishop Carroll 63-14. That looming 49-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bellefonte yet.
Bellefonte's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. Bellefonte put the match away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.
Next week Bellefonte will take on Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Bishop Carroll, they will face off against Clearfield. Clearfield have averaged 52 points over the course of their past eight games, so Bishop Carroll might be in for a challenge.
