While Superior didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Duncan Wildkats on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wildkats: they've now won seven in a row.

Lessenia Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramirez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that she got this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadynce Toner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Barbie Ybarra also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Superior's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Duncan, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Superior will welcome Miami at 3:45 p.m. on March 18th. As for Duncan, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fort Thomas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
