Everything went their way against Bridgeport on Friday as Frankenmuth made off with a 52-30 victory. Given Frankenmuth's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Bridgeport is ranked 554th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frankenmuth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Edwards, who scored 14 points. Carson Knoll was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.
Frankenmuth now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bridgeport, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth's road trip will continue as they head out to face Birch Run at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Birch Run is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Bridgeport, they will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
