The Crestwood Knights extended their postseason success on Friday against the Beaufort Eagles. They blew past the Eagles, posting a 44-0 victory at home. The win was nothing new for Crestwood as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Crestwood had a senior duo take command as Javion Martin threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes and Azarian Yates rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Yates hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games.
Crestwood has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Orangeburg-Wilkinson and 2-8 Lakewood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 44.1% over those games). As for Beaufort, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Crestwood will take on Brookland-Cayce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brookland-Cayce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Beaufort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
