Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in prep girls basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2023-24 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.
Aaliyah Chavez of

For the season, Chavez averaged 37.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.5 steals per game. She topped the 50-point mark five times, going for a high of 57 in a non-league matchup against Plano.
