Central Crossing is a perfect 5-0 against Briggs since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will welcome the Bruins at 5:00 p.m. Briggs took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Crossing, who comes in off a win.
Central Crossing is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Whitehall-Yearling with a sharp 15-5 victory on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Kyle Richardson and Jackson Reckner were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Richardson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Reckner struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. At bat, Richardson went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Reckner went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Central Crossing is undefeated when Reckner posts two or more runs, but 1-20 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Horton, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Central Crossing: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-19 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Robert Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Central Crossing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Briggs was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against Eastmoor Academy, falling 12-1. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Briggs' defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Central Crossing, their victory bumped their record up to 4-20.
Everything went Central Crossing's way against Briggs in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, as Central Crossing made off with a 14-0 win. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
