A feisty cat fight will be fought as North Creek Jaguars duke it out with Mount Si Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Mount Si will be up against a hot North Creek squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. North Creek was the clear victors by a 27-2 margin over Bellevue on Monday. The game marked the Jaguars' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Reagan Fleming made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Addy Cook was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Grace Pinder was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
North Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .909. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mount Si made easy work of Cedarcrest on Monday and carried off a 19-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Like North Creek, Mount Si also got a great game from a two-way player: Jenna Nowak. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Nowak was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Mount Si let Ally Hetzel and Westyn Haigh run wild. Hetzel went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one triple, while Haigh got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Paige Yost, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
North Creek pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Mount Si, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
North Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Si in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Does North Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount Si turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
