The Cedar Creek Eagles lost against the Georgetown Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cedar Creek took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Georgetown. Cedar Creek has struggled against Georgetown recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Robert Conrad, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Conrad has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kenji Franklin, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Georgetown, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 25-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek will face off against Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Creek is facing Bastrop at the right time seeing as Bastrop is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Georgetown, they will head out on the road to take on East View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown is coming into the match with seven straight wins on the road, meaning East View will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
