Calhoun is 3-0 against Floresville since October of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Calhoun Sandcrabs will be playing at home against the Floresville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Calhoun took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 56-14 win over Rockport-Fulton. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Calhoun can attribute much of their success to Darrik Salinas, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Alex Parker was another key contributor, rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Floresville can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down Pleasanton 34-20.
Adrian Wilson was on fire: he rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Their wins bumped Calhoun to 5-4 and Floresville to 3-6.
Everything went Calhoun's way against Floresville when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as Calhoun made off with a 35-13 win. Will Calhoun repeat their success, or does Floresville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
