Kentlake fell to Kentwood 29-43 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Kentlake were able to grind out a solid victory over Kentwood on Friday, winning 28-14.
Kentlake started the game off right with 21 first-half points. Meanwhile, Kentwood couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21-0 heading into the break. Kentlake were outperformed in the second half 7-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win bumped their record up to 3-0. Kentwood are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Next week Kentlake take on Auburn at 7:00 PM. As for Kentwood, they will face off against Beamer.
