The Havelock Rams will square off against the J.H. Rose Rampants at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Havelock: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while J.H. Rose has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Havelock turned things around against Northside - Jacksonville on Tuesday. They never let the Monarchs get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory.
Carolina Jenkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Jenkins was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Havelock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
J.H. Rose hadn't beaten Hunt on the road since April 21, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Rampants put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 21-0 win. The Rampants might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by ten runs or more this season.
Like Havelock, J.H. Rose also got a great game from a two-way player: Santana Sneed. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Sneed was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Michelle Jenkins was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ava Credle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and two RBI.
J.H. Rose is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Havelock, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-14.
Havelock suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to J.H. Rose in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
