After flying high against the Rainier Beach Vikings last Friday, The Garfield Bulldogs came back down to earth. Garfield had to suffer through a rough 49-13 loss at the hands of O'Dea. Garfield has struggled against O'Dea recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for O'Dea, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garfield will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Evergreen at 3:00 p.m. on November 4th. O'Dea will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shorecrest at 5:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Shorecrest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while O'Dea is ranked second).
