Edison is 2-8 against Memorial since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Edison Eagles will stay at home for another game and welcome the Memorial Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Edison stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over Coweta. That's two games straight that Edison has won by exactly 21 points.
Meanwhile, Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past Durant with a 59-54 win. 59 seems to be a good number for Memorial as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Garrett out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garrett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Harris, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Edison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
Edison took their victory against Memorial when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 51-29. Will Edison repeat their success, or does Memorial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
