Softball Recap: South Jefferson's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but South Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 12-7 to the Sandy Creek Comets. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

South Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Sandy Creek, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Jefferson will challenge Indian River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sandy Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Watertown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Comets' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Cyclones have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
