There's no place like home for the Skyline Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Mansfield Legacy on Tuesday as Skyline made off with a 70-48 win. Given Skyline's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Mansfield Legacy is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Skyline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Brown out in front who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. The match was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Naiya Carney was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Skyline has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Mansfield Legacy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.
Skyline will head out on the road to face off against Lake Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield Legacy, they will be playing at home against DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. DeSoto will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
