The Mountain Range Mustangs had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 50-41 win over Northglenn on Friday. The win was just what Mountain Range needed coming off of a 59-35 loss in their prior match.
Mountain Range was led to victory by Delilah Lucero and Josieraye Running Wolf. Lucero scored 26 points along with seven rebounds, while Running Wolf dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lucero has scored at least a third of Mountain Range's points.
Mountain Range's victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Northglenn, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Mountain Range and Erie will face off at 12:30 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Erie will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mountain Range surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northglenn, they will head out on the road to face off against Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
