Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask David Crockett). Everything went their way against the Sullivan East Patriots on Thursday as they made off with a 17-1 win. Considering the Pioneers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Madelyn Dulaney made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
