Camden Griggs made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Ellie Keen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Abby Roy, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Providence Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Union Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on March 13th, but it wasn't enough. They took a 22-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Life Way Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on March 11th (ten), the Eagles still had to take the loss.
Union Christian Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Providence Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
