Abraham Lincoln waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the West Philadelphia Speedboys as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The Railsplitters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sebastian Perez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Wilbert Rodriguez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Abraham Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Abraham Lincoln pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for West Philadelphia, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abraham Lincoln will venture away from home to challenge George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on the 23rd. As for West Philadelphia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prep Charter at 2:45 p.m. on the 25th. The Speedboys are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
