If the Chamberlain Cubs were riding high off their 54-24 takedown of the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Chamberlain was outmatched by Winner at home and fell 58-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chamberlain has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keelie Kuil, who scored seven points along with four steals. Kuil is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cici Watson, who scored 11 points.
Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Winner, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
Chamberlain will head out on the road to face off against Crow Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crow Creek will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Winner, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Todd County at 5:15 p.m. Todd County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
