On Friday, Seward was the victim of a tough 67-47 loss at the hands of Mount Michael Benedictine. Seward has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Michael Benedictine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Harrison Long, who scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Long has scored at least 25% of Mount Michael Benedictine's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Skahan, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Seward has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Seward will be playing in front of their home fans against Beatrice on Friday. Beatrice is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Mount Michael Benedictine and Jefferson will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jefferson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 539 points over their last eight contests.
