It was a proper cat-fight when Brookhaven challenged Salem on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Jaiycee Brown was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Journi Hunt was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Brookhaven always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Brookhaven's record now sits at 4-2. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookhaven will welcome Franklin County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Salem, they will square off against Columbia at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
