The First Assembly Christian Crusaders came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Lausanne Collegiate by a score of 63-51. Given First Assembly Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Lausanne Collegiate is ranked 160th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Lausanne Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Carson Boyle, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Ford, who scored nine points.
First Assembly Christian pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Assembly Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Evangelical Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will face off against Harding Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
