Osmond had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Friday they take on St. Francis at 7:00 PM. Osmond are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Osmond found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 24-52 punch to the gut against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge. Osmond's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Anthony Heiman, who picked up 145 yards on the ground and accumulated 159 passing yards. One of the most memorable plays of the match was Heiman's 65-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, St. Francis put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the matchup and then some with a 76-40 victory over Giltner. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. Francis had established a 62-34 advantage.
St. Francis's win lifted them to 3-0 while Osmond's loss dropped them down to 2-1. St. Francis caused 4 turnovers against Giltner, so Osmond will need to take especially good care of the ball.
