Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A District 6 this week, Simon Kenton beat Campbell County 55-35. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Pioneers.
Simon Kenton led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on the Camels. Brenan Kuntz threw for 367 yards and 7 touchdowns and ran for 80 yards during the win.
Jeff marksberry's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Kuntz contributed 80 yards. Grant Wassom helped Simon Kenton's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 98 yards.
He was 20-27 with 0 interceptions.
Logan Winkler was the best wideout in the league this week as the Pioneers bested Campbell County. Winkler tallied 7 receptions for 154 yards. Wassom helped Simon Kenton's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 98 yards.
Simon Kenton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kuntz has thrown for 1,539 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Wassom has 32 catches for 513 yards. Kuntz also leads the league in rushing with 558 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Stephen Lickert's team takes on Dixie Heights. The Camels are currently in third, while the Colonels are in second.
