If The Tracy Bulldogs were feeling good off their 49-7 takedown of the West Wolfpack last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tracy took a 27-10 bruising from Downey on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Tracy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Downey was led to victory by Carson Lamb and Joseph Ramirez. Lamb threw for 128 yards and a touchdown, while Ramirez gained 82 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Downey's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Tracy's QB won't forget Ismael Lopez anytime soon given Lopez sacked him six times.
Tracy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Downey, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Tracy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Downey will square off against Rocklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocklin is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
