Williams Bay is 0-10 against Johnson Creek since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Williams Bay got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on Parkview with a sharp 15-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.
Sarena Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kalie Stanek, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Mckean, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Williams Bay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Johnson Creek came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since April 5th.
Tori Buglass made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Buglass was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lainey Benz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Libby Burbach, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.
Johnson Creek pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Williams Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
Williams Bay suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Johnson Creek in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
