Given Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Shreveport HomeSchool Sports is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Kuehn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Kuehn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jordan Buckhalter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Shreveport HomeSchool Sports, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day will play host again and welcome Varsity Opponent, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shreveport HomeSchool Sports, they will head out on the road to face off against Psalms Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Psalms Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
