The Southeast Cyclones entered their tilt with the Encampment Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Southeast enjoyed a cozy 44-30 win over the Tigers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southeast also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Southeast found their leader in underclassman Kaycee Kosmicki, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that Kosmicki scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Baylie Booth, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals.
Southeast pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Encampment, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Southeast will head out on the road to take on the Doggers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Lingle-Fort Laramie is ranked 16th, while the Cyclones are ranked 18th). As for Encampment, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Longhorns at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th. Rock River will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
