Lake Oconee Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Temple Tigers on Wednesday.
 While Lake Oconee Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18,  26-24.
 Mackenzie King paced Lake Oconee Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. King got some help from  Emma Dimascio and her 32 assists. Dimascio also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Jolie Chamberlain, each putting up three.

Lake Oconee Academy pushed their record up to 24-6 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Temple, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-24 record  this season.
 Lake Oconee Academy will host Coosa  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Temple does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
