St. Sebastian's School (Needham, Mass.) captured the lead in overtime and held on for a 20-14 victory over
Belmont Hill (Belmont, Mass.) on Saturday. The Arrows captured the lead for good when it threw a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run, the Hillies went into halftime with a 7-6 lead. The Arrows took the lead for good with a passing touchdown in the fifth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, St. Sebastian's School still trailed by 1 point going into the fourth quarter. But eight points in the fourth helped SSS pull out the victory.
Brian O'Malley stood out for the Needham school in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown.
The Arrows got revenge for last year's 17-12 loss to Belmont Hill with the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Belmont Hill, which notched a 35-7 victory over Noble & Greenough in its previous outing. With the win St. Sebastian's School extended its winning streak to four games. The loss snapped BH's 2-game winning streak.
Belmont Hill (2-2) will play a Independent School game against Brooks next week, while St. Sebastian's School (4-0) will take on Middlesex also in a Independent School game.
