Sugar-Salem's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Andee Petterson, who  posted eight  points in addition to 13  assists and five  steals. Those 13  assists gave  Petterson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Monika Nead, who  went 7 of 8  en route to 14 points and six  rebounds.
 Sugar-Salem  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 20  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in 13 consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, South Fremont slipped by Ririe  48-47 on Saturday.
 Sugar-Salem's win was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-0. As for South Fremont, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
 Sugar-Salem and South Fremont were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024, but Sugar-Salem came up empty-handed after  a  58-57 loss. Can Sugar-Salem avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
