Creekview has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Turner Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Creekview came up short against Lone Star and fell 64-53. Creekview has not had much luck with Lone Star recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Turner's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by The Colony 76-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Turner has suffered against The Colony since February 6, 2017.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Rodney Gray, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikolas Barrett, who scored 11 points.
Creekview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Turner, they bumped their record down to 15-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Creekview beat Turner 62-52 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does Creekview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Turner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
