The Biggs Wolverines will take on the Quincy Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Biggs' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last seven games.
Last Monday, Biggs made easy work of Loyalton and carried off a 20-2 victory. Considering the Wolverines have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Riley Harrison made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Harrison was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Arden Vines was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Bermudez, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Biggs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Quincy got themselves on the board against Chester on Tuesday, but Chester never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Volcanoes with a sharp 6-0 win. The Trojans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.
Like Biggs, Quincy also got a great game from a two-way player: Jemma Trueblood. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Trueblood has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Hana Hostetter was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Adrian Goulet was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Biggs' victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.6 runs over those games. As for Quincy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Quincy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Biggs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .525. It's a different story for Quincy, though, as they've only averaged .355. Will they be able to contain Biggs' hitters?
Biggs couldn't quite get it done against Quincy in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 as they fell 10-5. Will the Wolverines have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
