Covington Catholic won the last time they faced Holmes and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Covington Catholic Colonels blew past the Holmes Bulldogs, posting an 87-44 victory. The Colonels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Covington Catholic and bumps their season record up to 22-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

Looking ahead, Covington Catholic will challenge Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Cross knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Covington Catholic likes a good challenge.
