The Mohave Accelerated Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Mesquite Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mohave Accelerated will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Mesquite's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Mohave Accelerated hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Patriots blew past Trivium Prep 26-0 on Friday. Considering the Patriots have won 15 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kennedy Lamb was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Mohave Accelerated kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 17 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mesquite came up short against Campo Verde on Friday, falling 12-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Olivia Romans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Mohave Accelerated pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
Mesquite's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mohave Accelerated has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Mesquite, though, as they've been averaging 12.5 hits. Given Mohave Accelerated's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
