Show Low is 0-6 against Florence since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Show Low Cougars will welcome the Florence Gophers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Show Low took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Chino Valley by a score of 9-6. Show Low has beaten Chino Valley the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Chino Valley has come to flipping the script.

Korbyn Greenwood looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Show Low is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kash Perkins, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Nick Hall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Show Low was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Florence put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past ALA - Ironwood 9-2. Nine seems to be a good number for the Gophers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Adrian Rodriguez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Gammons, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
The victory got Show Low back to even at 4-4. As for Florence, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Show Low has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Florence struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Show Low couldn't quite get it done against Florence in their previous matchup last Saturday as they fell 9-6. Will Show Low have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
