South Paulding barely beat Alexander the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Cougars 12-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

South Paulding is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Alexander, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
