Meanwhile, Abington Heights had just enough and edged out Valley View 3-2 on Monday. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Comets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Greyson Locker looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Evan Gonzalez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Kayal, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Riverside has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Abington Heights struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Riverside might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Abington Heights when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
