Baseball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Chaminade-Madonna had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Cardinal Newman Crusaders. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly five runs.

Santi Arismendi tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joshua Wright, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Miguel Roa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Chaminade-Madonna's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Cardinal Newman, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-2-1.
