The Bay Path RVT Minutemen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Francis Parker Charter Essential School at home to the tune of 67-16. The win was a breath of fresh air for Bay Path RVT as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Peter Barbale continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Smolski, who scored ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Francis Parker Charter Essential School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liam Almond. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with four steals. Almond is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Dee, who scored five points along with three steals.
Bay Path RVT's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Francis Parker Charter Essential School, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bay Path RVT will challenge Worcester Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Worcester Tech is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
